Beneath my skin, 
Cruelty expressed by a single gesture, word or 
just a black look seems to be dragged all over
my body and open up a wound.

Beneath my skin, 
a sweet perfume acts as a healer and holding
its own draws a sigh of relief.

Reaching deep inside myself, 
an exquisite and acute pain and an aroma 
that touches my subconscious mind 
stand the test of time and never give way.
